Default Power Leveling via Vaettir HM?

Has anyone successfully power level someone else via the Spectral Vaettirs in Jaga Moraine?

Will the Vaettirs target / attack the lower level character when they move within earshot range?

You need HM and level 20, and doing it in NM is pointless, theres like 5-10 total vaettir. it's not exactly a way of power leveling imo, it's away of getting a character hundreds and thousands of skill points and XP for consets and such. Any one agree or disagree? go for it, always up for others opinions

Why not do it yourself? There's working farming builds for vaettirs for every profession (though some need a bonder hero). Just bring some xp scrolls and farm for xp instead of drops.

I believe that the following applies:

- your friend needs to have another character that has already finished EOTN in order for his new character to be able to access HM
- obviously his new character needs to be already level 10 to access EOTN
- you can level him up do Vaettir farming. The only thing is that you will both share in the XP
- he can stay quite a bit out of reach and still share the XP

Well, as you like others' opinions, my opinion is that it is neither for power levelling nor what you said. It is mainly farming for economical reasons and is more clearly seen as such during festivals or special drops weekends. However, even though that is what it is mainly for, there are obviously other reasons such as what you suggested (though you are the only person that I've heard suggest it for that purpose) and while it may not be used for power levelling a low level char to 20, it is being increasingly so used for powerlevelling from 20 to around the unseen level of 100 (aka Legendary Survivor).

To answer the OP's question more clearly though, yes I have heard of people successfully power levelling someone else via the Spectral Vaettirs in Jaga Moraine though not from the low levels. However, it can obviously be done and AI is designed to target lower level chars due to them having less health usually, but with the Jouney to the north buff or whatever, they shouldn't really too much at least, and especially since you are probably only going within earshot range when they are near death.

Is it even worth it?

You level so damn fast anyway just by playing the storyline.

Legendary Survivor in less than 1.5 hours with absolutely no risk is pretty awesome.

I've been away from the game for a long time now so this might sound dumb but is keg farming still nerfed, and if so how is it that you can get LS in 1.5 hours?

An hour and a half sounds awfully short for Legendary survivor with another person in the party. 22.5k per run (with 2.5x multiplier), each run 3 minutes long, would need to do 60 runs = 3 hours. Maybe 2 hours if you could do every run in 2 minutes.

Anyways, I don't think the power leveling is necessary. It's extremely easy to get to level 20 from level 10 in about half an hour or less from doing kilroys.

How does recall help? As I remember, players must be within earshot to get exp or damaged the enemy.

The reason I asked this question was I wanted to help my friend (who does not have Factions or Nightfall) with L.Survivor without spending 5 to 15 hours in boxing.

Vaettir would be faster (around 5 hours solo without scrolls assuming it takes 4 min to kill all 60)

Still waiting for this to be answered:
Will the Vaettirs target / attack the character being power-leveled when they move within earshot range?

Just going to point out that there aren't 60 vaettir in NM.

If you're talking about leeching someone to LS, then yes they will. That's why I had issues trying to leech my boyfriend and ended up just having him tank and I ran as his bonder. He didn't technically need a bonder, but I was his safety net and popping his scrolls for him (not to mention leeching Norn rep and drops :3) I have to say we didn't try using Recall but now I want to give it a shot... We tried with him taking DC but it was hard to time the shadowstep with the mob asploding. I dunno, might mess around with Recall on another character. Darth, Recall is an enchantment which you cast on a party member and shadowstep to them when it cancels. That's either by them going out of range or by you manually cancelling it. Only issue is that all your skills are then on recharge for a few seconds.

Also I don't think we should be using the phrase "power-levelling" in regards to getting someone LS. It gives people entirely the wrong impression of what you're trying to do.
